Welcome new age researchers!
The goal of the Institute for Natural Philosophy is to be a hub for researching and sharing new theories on the fields of natural philosophy, alternative history, physics and more. We believe that together, we can build a brighter future of free and informed individuals with a common goal: unraveling the mystery of existence and discovering the truth.
Motivation
We want to build a multi disciplinary digital research center, a community of new and experienced researchers with the goal of challenging pre conceived norms about the nature of existence, history, philosophy, physics, psychology, and more.
Mission & Goals
The Institute for Natural Philosophy, from our humble beginnings, using all the means that we have, desire to undertake a massive project, supported by a community with common interests in the development and research of the Ancient Past. This is what we deem to be our purpose in life, to research, to pass on what we find thus creating a global Ancient History Research Centre, that is the Institute of Natural Philosophy.
We are passionate for Ancient History, but contrary to most Academics, we have a vast background that fuses and ramifies from member to member, which will be amplified as new members join. Knowing that strength comes in numbers, we have developed a process that will enable networking, whereby individuals, groups or other institutes can share and participate in our efforts. This process will allow anyone to join, at no cost if desired, share information, become a researcher with us, whether in person or not, submit findings and topics, be peer reviewed internally and finally be published publicly, either as an individual, with the Institute for Natural Philosophy or part of a team dedicated to a specific task.
Our combined multidisciplinary approach can and will provide new answers, new results and new learning. We in sum, wish to be on land what Jacques Cousteau was on the ocean. We will document everything, every test, at every site. We will share information on the fly, hearing and discussing it in real time and present results to the public and ultimately publish for peer review.
We intend to own land in Portugal where we would build our own Teaching Centre under the Institute For Natural Philosophy, creating the largest agora for historical interpretation. Included in our grounds will be accommodation for visitors, researchers and students, an auditorium for presentations and discussion comities, a library containing physical prints of our database of research material that is now nearing the 300 thousand files and growing, the teaching centre, a museum displaying items of relevance for either the teaching department, the Research Center, and to researchers alike and finally the administrative office. We have a few properties selected already to choose from and the plans for the Institute for Natural Philosophy's grounds and its buildings are all designed to mimic the natural landscape, reduce building costs and energy consumption.
Physical research in the form of academic expeditions will be a big part of how we achieve success. This will require, out of necessity, research equipment that comes from many different disciplines. The research will also require traveling and we envision our Expeditions including people coming as fellow researchers or patrons along to share the experience and the research. We want those that come with us, to actually participate, sharing our interest and understanding of these locations, while discussing it with those participating in the expedition. Portugal, The British Isles, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and both South and North America are some of the possible locations being considered.
We also plan to have our own vehicles, like a Motor-home and a catamaran sail boat, which will allow us to carry our equipment in the vehicles and provide on-site respite for our researchers. This would also allow longer times for research during the Expeditions at the sites.
Education is extremely in the forefront our minds and so we have included other aspects to increase knowledge by way of providing access. The Institute for Natural Philosophy is currently publishing old books, with more to come, unavailable to the average person, in high quality replicating original forms, as well as old maps as posters and prints and plan to publish new books with compilations of material of academic interest.
